Containment of two of the four fires increased while two other fires grew in acreage.The fire closest to New River was the most active Friday, nearly doubling in size, estimated now at 863 acres. Hotshot crews are being flown in via helicopters to strengthen firelines. The fire near Black Canyon City increased to 4,987 acres.
